Ray Charles - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Esta famosa canción de Navidad fue un poema de un ejecutivo americano dedicado a la publicidad. Su nombre, Robert May. A él, le pidieron hacer unos versos para que Santa Claus le entragara a los niños en las tiendas por departamento durante la Navidad. Como ejecutivo de publicidad, Robert May tenía mucha facilidad con las palabras y compuso “Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer” que fue específicamente diseñado para llamar la atención de los niños.
Este marketing tuvo un éxito masivo. Aproximadamente, 2.5 millones de ejemplares fueron entregados en el año de su primera publicación. En 1949 el cantante Gene Autry grabó la versión musical de “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” compuesta by Johnny Marks.



Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.

All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!
